Toyota Commonwealth Inc. (“TCM”) takes your privacy seriously. When conducting our duties and responsibilities to our clients, associated persons and other business interests, TCM uses the Personal Data of the client and/or its authorized representatives or signatories which is collectively known as “Customer Information” that are in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (“DPA”) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (“IRR”).

Who is Toyota Commonwealth?

Toyota Commonwealth, a franchise of Toyota Motor Philippines, is a privately owned automotive dealer located at Lot 5B, Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City, Philippines.

Rights under Privacy Law

The rights as generally provided are as follows:

To be informed of the Customer Information that TCM collects and how these are processed.
To correct inaccuracies or errors in our records of the Customer Information.
To request copy, rectification, erasure, object or restrict the processing of your data from TCM systems and filings subject for review and certain conditions.
To obtain a copy of Customer Information that TCM is processing.

Purpose of Use

DATA PRIVACY ACT POLICY AND CONSENT

Toyota Commonwealth values the personal information of its customers and is committed to ensure the confidentiality of your personal data under Republic Act No. 10173 or the “Data Privacy Act of 2012”.

In compliance with the requirements of the Data Privacy Act and its implementing rules and regulations, we hereby inform you of how we will handle and protect the personal data you have provided in the course of your transaction/s with us.

These personal data, which include both your personal and sensitive personal information, may be collected, processed, stored, updated, disclosed or shared by Toyota Commonwealth (TCM) to Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP), MP’s dealer network, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, representatives, or third-party service providers, either of TCM or of TMP, pursuant to the relevant data sharing agreement with TMP. MP’s dealer network. subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, representatives, or third-party service providers, for any of the following purposes:

implement transactions which you request, allow or authorize,
offer and provide new or related products, marketing & promotional activities, special campaigns and services of MP, its dealers or third parties,
conduct customer satisfaction survey,
understand our customers,
authorize comply with TMP and its dealers’ internal policies and reporting obligations to governmental authorities under applicable laws, and
other related activities.

By patronizing Toyota products and services, you hereby grant your express and continuing consent to allow the aforementioned groups to process your personal information and use it as may deem necessary.

Should you wish to access, update, or correct any personal data, or withdraw or withhold your consent to the use of any of your personal data for any of the purposes mentioned above, please directly communicate with us thru customer.relations@toyotacommonwealth.com.

TCM will use the Customer Information that will involve collecting, processing, profiling and data information sharing of the Customer Information. The terms shall be interpreted as defined in the DPA and the IRR.

TCM’s purposes of collecting and using Customer Information include the following:

Marketing of products and services offered by Sales and After-Sales Department;
Handling of customer’s transactions, queries and complaints forecasted and received;
Gaining approval of affiliated Financing Institutions (i.e. Banks) for Car Loan or Financing Applications.
Feedback Mechanism and Analysis Management for overall improvement of business operations through customer surveys, post-sales or post follow-up surveys, etc.
Fulfilling legal obligations and reporting requirements in compliance with the government requirements.
